This weekend marks our 4th anniversary with Babe(Jago). No other dog has changed our life as much as she has. To live with her we saw that we needed to change the way we lived with dogs, particularly a shy dog. From a malamute who stayed in her dog house for a year, she's now falling asleep on our thighs and chest. From a dog who blew our her adrenal gland in fear, she now leads runs around confident and happy. Thanks Babe for all the positive things you brought to us!

Babe is another beautiful dog! Glad you got her out of her shell. I'm still working on a kitty like that. But the rewards are great!

Cheers, to winter!

Hey Funhog

Great blog. Absolutely awesome to see someone who's got their life sorted into a place where they can combine dogs and the outdoors in the way you have.

Unfortunately dogs are a no-no in Australian and NZ national parks (which I can accept), but it means that life can be limited to dogs *or* the mountains, but not usually both.

So far we are dogless, but mountain-rich.

Cheers

Thanks for the compliments. yea she's really come around. Her adrenal gland failed since it was on high alert for so long, that's how bad she was. But that might have been the thing that saved her in the long run. She realized we help her as much as we could.
