Started out skijoring when we hit some rock hidden by snow. Not a big surprised since we don't have alot of snow, but still, my feet came to a standstill and my chest thumped the ground pretty good. Knocked the wind out of me. Later I realized my thumb was sprained and for a bit thought a rib was busted. Thank goodness not only bruised. but it busted the LCD display on the camera :( Here's a pic from out on the trail.

I think I'm having the same kind of luck as you! Got my arm wrapped around a line and almost got sucked under the 4-wheeler one day. Next day, out skijoring took a nice wipeout and landed on my elbow and reefed up my wrecked shoulder (hurt skijoring last year... hmmmm). Then the next day (yes! 3 in a row!!) the ladder from my loft fell on my head!!! I think I got a concussion!
Anyways, that skijoring thing can sure be a dangerous sport! Man, skis are really picky with hitting those pesky rocks and stuff eh?
At least you're just wounded, thank goodness for that. Bummer about the camera though!
Hi Stacie,
I guess if we got up and out the door with the dogs the next day our injuries weren't that bad :) I still think I might call my 3 the mala-monsters.
8 mile 13 km run and they kept the lines taut which is good.

Now that I have a yard full of top racing dogs instead of a calm Malamute housepet, I am scared to go skijoring without scouting the trail first. Today I skied down the trail a ways to see how things were, and there was a little bit of gravel to grab my skis now and then. Still, I might try skijoring with my old beater skis and a retired dog or two. Hard to resist.
